The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has commiserated with the family of Pa Jimi Solanke and the good people of Ogun State on his demise.
In his reminiscences on the late octogenarian, he extolled his virtues. According to him, ‘for men in his calling; the poets,the culture preservationists,they only transit into a different form of existence, their lives are interred in their creative works. This moment,for the sake of shedding the earthly form to wear new garments of celestial purity,the storyteller Jimi Solanke ends the story’
He concluded that the master storyteller and poet who incidentally is from Ipara Remo in his senatorial district shall sorely be missed by his constituents, Ogun State, and the nation.
