The natural disasters and environmental issues bedevilling some areas in the three local governments in Remoland, Ogun State is receiving the attention of the federal government courtesy of the dogged efforts of the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District and former governor of Ogun state, His Excellency the distinguished Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
This cheery development is given vent as the National Environmental Management Agency (NEMA) is set to arrive Ogun State following the earlier visit of a consortium of Engineers to assess the extent of environmental damage in areas including Ewu-oliwo, Ajaka and Awolowo market for further necessary action.
It is apposite to mention that the expeditious concern shown by NEMA was in response to a bill ably sponsored by the Senator representing Ogun East zone two weeks ago in the National Assembly.
The visit of the environmental agency is an indication that environmental challenges in the South West nay Remoland is receiving positive attention from the federal government. OGD has promised that work shall commence in earnest soonest in the area after the preliminary assessments have been concluded.
The distinguished lawmaker has once again proven that the confidence reposed in him by the people of the Ogun East senatorial zone by choosing him as their representative was not misplaced.
