Ndidi not fit for Liverpool game —Rodgers

Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Wilfred Ndidi is a few weeks from being fully fit to play despite returning to training two months after he sustained an abductor injury.

The Nigeria international has been out of action after suffering a knock in the Foxes’ 4-2 loss to Burnley in a Premier League game in September.

Ndidi was initially ruled out until Christmas.

Asked for the latest on the fitness of his squad on Friday, Rodgers said, “Wilf (Ndidi) is out on the field but still has a number of weeks to go.

“But he’s progressing well.”

Leicester City lead the English Premier League table having accrued 18 points from eight games.
