Tinubu Celebrates Gbenga Daniel, Kresta Laurel at 35: A Salute to Indigenous Innovation
ABUJA – October 2, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Kresta Laurel Limited, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous elevator and escalator company, on the occasion of its 35th anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised the company for its resilience, professionalism, and contribution to Nigeria’s industrial growth, particularly in mechanical vertical transport systems.
Founded in Lagos with branches in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, and a zonal office in Ibadan, Kresta Laurel has emerged as a key player in elevator and crane technology across West Africa. The company is a recipient of the African Order of Merit in Cranes, Escalators, and Elevator Technology.
President Tinubu recalled the company’s early support during a pivotal moment in his political journey. In 1999, as he assembled his technocratic cabinet to lead Lagos State, Kresta Laurel provided crucial space and support to the transition team — a gesture he described as emblematic of its commitment to national development.
The President also paid tribute to Senator Gbenga Daniel, Chairman of Kresta Laurel’s Board of Directors and former governor of Ogun State, applauding his visionary leadership and dedication to promoting indigenous enterprise.
“As a nation, we celebrate institutions like Kresta Laurel whose longevity and success are built on discipline, innovation, and sound business ethics,” the statement read. “I congratulate Senator Gbenga Daniel and the entire Kresta Laurel family.
