The Olatunde Awonuga Foundation proudly congratulates His Royal Majesty, Oba Kazeem Adeshina Salami (Ilufemiloba I), Osobia of Makun-Omi Kingdom, on the historic elevation of the Osobia stool to First Class Obaship status by the Ogun State Government.
This significant recognition—formally approved by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Executive Governor of Ogun State—marks a monumental step in the annals of traditional leadership in Ogun State. It reflects the profound contributions of Oba Salami to the socio-economic growth, cultural preservation, and peaceful coexistence in Makun-Omi, the Waterside region, and the broader Ijebu nation.
Under the visionary leadership of Kabiyesi Ilufemiloba I, Makun-Omi has experienced remarkable progress in areas of infrastructural development, youth empowerment, community cohesion, and the promotion of Yoruba cultural values. The elevation of the Osobia stool not only honors his individual excellence but also amplifies the voice of the Waterside people within the state’s traditional and governance architecture.
