The Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke, has described the late APC chieftain in the council area, Alhaji Akanji Elefonde, as a forthright leader and role model, worthy of emulation. Oke, made the statement, on Monday during the 8-Day Fridau Prayer in honour of the deceased at his residence, Power line in Agbado, Iju area. While praising the late Elefonde, for his knack for the truth and social justice for all, the chairman said “in the last 15 years when he became close to the deceased, up until his demise, last week, he was very consistent in his principle, which is rare with most politicians” adding that he, (Elefonde), gave him needed financial support and wise counsel. Also, speaking at the event, the Chief Imam of Omojule Central Mosque, Iju, Sheik Muzemil, admonished the audience about the inevitability of death, urging everyone to do those things that would please Almighty Allah and avoid sin that would prevent anybody to make Haven.
