The Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) has exhorted Nigerians to celebrate the blessings God has given them as we celebrate Christmas.
The Church Senior Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo said this recently at the Lagos State Public Service Christian Fellowship’s 2017 Christmas Outreach themed ‘Its Harvest time’ at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja.
He said we need to stay, work and live together and operate in unity in Nigeria to combat the challenges of Nigeria and let people who expect to honour Nigeria to feel that we are so difficult to be divided.
He stated that Nigeria is an unusual nation with over 258 Languages that must celebrate Christ, God without ceasing for all to be so closed to God alone to enjoy His true Harvest.
The Wife of Governor of Lagos, Mrs Bolanle Ambode, represented by Mrs Sade Odunlami stated in her goodwill message that all have sown in various ways and that it is only normal that we reap bountifully too, as we look unto God, our expectation shall’nt cut short
She enjoined everyone reading Joel 3:13,to resolve to adopt new attitudes in the coming year, that our resolution should be to drop old habits that do not add value to us and our jobs and glorify the name of God.
We should resolve to adopt new habits that will significantly improve interpersonal relations and public service delivery, to sustain our status as the state of Excellence.
The President Canon Gbenga Solomon, The Acting and Presiding Chaplain Very Rev. Ayo Oyadotun and the Chairman Solicitor General/Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice Mrs Funmilola Adesola Odunlami were among eminent personalities at the programme.
