The First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Bolanle Ambode has been given an Award of Distinction by the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) at its 31st Annual State Congress.
The award, according to the group was for her kind gestures and efforts in promoting quality education at a programme at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat.
Mrs Ambode, who was represented by Mrs Rhoda Ayinde thanked ANCOPSS for the great honour, even as she charged ANCOPSS to ensure discipline in their various schools.
She congratulated the ANCOPSS Executives and members of the congress and wish them a fruitful deliberation.
The ANCOPSS President, Mr Olatunde Adetolu Isaac commended the Lagos State government during his welcome address speech, as it has made ANCOPSS function through provision of conducive classrooms for teaching and learning activities, provision of furniture, provision of laboratory, library and ICT facilities for effective teaching and management in our schools,Training and re-training programmes for our Teachers and Principals, robust welfare scheme particularly the prompt payment of monthly salaries and Allowances, he listed.
