Children have been urged to be actively involved in the war against violence them, by reporting any act of violence against them promptly to government agencies.
The Executive Director for Chamagne Foundation, Mrs Abimbola Ojosipe stated this at a campaign drive by her organisation recently.
She said the objective of the campaign was to create space for children to report every violence around them in order to end violence against the Children.
Ojosipe said during her address on VACS finding lecture that a Church Pastor raped a 14 year-old girl for two years that the girl did not know how to say it out before the pastor was caught by the Child Protection Network.
She therefore urged the children to break the silence and that the campaign does not end there but still going to schools to educate the children about it as there are other violence against Male child too.
Ojosipe expressed her appreciation to the Lagos state Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for giving an enabling environment for children to report any form of abuse and violence against them by on his government.
Mrs lota Balogun Abosede of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Child Development Department stated that there has been a continuous campaign at all the Local Govt areas to end Violence against children in the state.
